Welcome... Thanks for visiting my site. I am a computer hobbiest: this site and the homemade programs offered here are the product of many wasted (but happy!) hours. I have been a hobby programmer, on and off, for several years, and, now I suppose, I am a hobby Webmaster as well.
For anyone interested, this is my first Web Site. This site was entirely hand coded and reflects what HTML 4.01 with CSS formating I've been able to learn, so far. The more I learn, the better this site might become; but simplicity remains a goal. This site uses a free web hosting service and a free file hosting service, so you may encounter advertizing associated with either host. (Also, the free hosting services may be down from time to time.) The domain name is the only thing that I had to pay for.
So now I have a web site. I need some content. At the moment, I have four programs that I think are worth presenting. The programs were made using "Just BASIC" (a great FREE programming language that will create stand alone applications) and "Thistle-Win" (an easy FREE programming language and compiler). The programs (along with source codes) will download as Zip files. If you download a program file, you can simply unzip it and run it from its folder. Or you can install the program with a nice utility called "ZipInstaller", which can be downloaded from the Links page. If you use it, ZipInstaller will install the programs, create shortcuts, and create uninstall icons.
Go ahead, take a look at my homemade programs. If you find them at all fun or usefull, great! If not, simply delete or un-install them. I plan to add more Homemade Freeware to this site in the future (if I can come up with anything half way decent); and I plan to keep the program offerings updated (so check back once in a while). Utility Launcher 2.0
Utility Launcher is a convenient launcher for clean-up and maintenance programs. You can place up to 20 utilities under a single (1) desktop icon, so they can be accessed and run quickly. This is the utility program that I use regularly to run my arsenal of third-party clean-up and maintenance programs. Utility Launcher (TW) 1.0
Utility Launcher (TW) is a tiny, bare bones, version of Utility Launcher. It is certainly less refined than the standard UL (and, therefore, not for everyone), but it works well and is less than 60k in size. [Limitation: can only default to Drive: C][download: 7.82 KB]
Kinship Plotter 1.1
Kinship Plotter is not a genealogy application, but it can tell you how two people in a family tree are related. Ever wonder if someone is a second cousin twice removed or a third cousin once removed? Trying to calculate those type of relations can be tricky. KP can quickly provide that information. Rock Paper Scissors (TW) 1.3
Rock, Paper, Scissors (TW) is my version of this classic game. The game folder is really quite small (program + graphics + source code = 220KB). In playing, you (the HUMAN) try to out-quess the COMPUTER. If I say so myself: this little game is quite fun! [download: 97.2 KB]
